A quick hike out to Abbott's Lagoon reveals a rare sunset, peeking throught the eye of a breaking storm. To reach the Lagoon, go south on Hwy. 1 from Point Reyes Station and turn west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Then turn right and go north on Pierce Point Rd. The turn off is a few miles past the town of Inverness. You will come to a small dirt parking lot and out house, where a hiking trail leads to the lagoon.
