"Crossroads" is a composite image created by combining two identical transparencies of Nevada's Hwy. 50. Each transparency was placed in the opposite direction of the other and remounted in a new slide mount to create the crossroad effect. The original photograph of Hwy. 50 was taken near Salt Wells, NV., which lies in a remote alakali flat, east of Fallon. This section of Hwy. 50 has often been referred to as "The Loneliest Road in America."
